On behalf of Local Organizing Committee it is our privilege and great pleasure to invite you to join the 35th Meeting of The European Thyroid Association to be held in Kraków, Poland on September 10-14, 2011. Held annually, the meeting provides an ideal inter- and multidisciplinary platform that brings together people from basic and clinical research, incorporating key aspects of thyroidology. The 35th ETA Meeting in Kraków, located in the very centre of Europe, between the West and East, will be the perfect place where scientists interested in thyroid research can meet and exchange ideas and experience. It is your participation, input and feedback that can create the ETA Meeting as an environment in which to exchange science and build stronger and better working practices and procedures for the future. A large number of oral and poster sessions will cover all aspects of the thyroid research and treatment. The wide range of educational symposia will satisfy clinicians interested in thyroid disease. To extend this experience, the congress social program will allow participants to immerse themselves in the vivid and fascinating life of Kraków. Kraków, the former capital of Poland, is one of the largest and oldest Polish cities. It has traditionally been the centre of its academic, cultural and artistic life. Its historic centre, which includes the Old Town, Wawel Castle and Kazimierz Jewish Quarter, was included in the list of World Heritage Sites. Our Meeting will take place in the Auditorium Maximum of the Jagiellonian University, the oldest university in Poland. The modern and well equipped venue is located only ten minutes walking distance from the Market Square – the historical heart of the city. Thank you very much in advance for joining us in Kraków, September 10-14, 2011. Looking forward to meeting you soon in Poland.
